Once I’ve received your payment and photo(s), I’ll get to work.

3. Receive your art file
When it’s ready, you’ll get a high-resolution digital file you can print yourself, take to your local print shop, or share digitally.

• Do I get the digital file?
Yes! You’ll receive a high-resolution digital file (8x10 at 300dpi) delivered by my Dropbox. You can print it at home or through any print service for your personal use.

Nope! It’s just there if you want it. After I finish your portrait, I’ll send a link so you can see your pet on all kinds of products. You can print the file yourself, use a local printer, or pick up a mug, shirt, or tote from my shop - totally up to you.

• Do you earn more money if I buy from your shop?
I receive a small royalty. Like, I mean, SMALL. Everything helps, but your main payment covers the custom creation of your pet's illustrated portrait.

• Can I resell the art you send me, or turn it into something else to sell?
No. Your purchase includes a personal-use license only. You may print the file for personal display or as a gift, but you may not sell the artwork, create derivative works for sale, or use it for commercial purposes. I retain the copyright to the artwork. If you’re interested in licensing or commercial use, I’m happy to discuss separate arrangements.

• Are other people able to buy my pet’s portrait?
Well yes, I guess they could! When you commission a portrait, it becomes part of my shop collection, which is online. Sometimes I post a version without the name so others can enjoy it too, especially if your pet's vibe is extra iconic. However, if this is a concern to you, we can arrange to "take down" your pet's shop link after you've had a chance to make purchases.
• How long does it take?
Usually about 4-7 business days from the time I receive your photo and payment. If I’m taking pre-orders at an art fair or opening commissions in batches, I may schedule portraits in advance. In that case, I’ll let you know your estimated timeline before you pay. I’ll always keep you updated throughout the process. And please let me know if you have gifting deadlines! I will work with you.

• Can you draw more than one pet?
Yes, when you go to the purchase page, you can use the drop down to add up to 2 more pets (total of 3). If you have a whole zoo family, contact me so I can create the invoice! :)

• Do you give refunds?
If I haven’t started sketching yet, I can refund you, no worries. After that, well... congrats you're getting a portrait! :) I’ll send a preview before finalizing to make sure everything looks just right. If you receive a product that is printed wrong, looks bad, etc, take photos and let me know right away – I will liaise with the fulfillment company and work to make things right.

• Do you use AI to make these?
Nope! These portraits are hand-drawn by me on my iPad in Procreate (which is proudly anti-AI btw!).

• Why did TeePublic send me my mug?
Because they’re my print partner, the muscle behind the magic. My shop is what’s called a Dashery shop, powered by TeePublic, so they handle all the printing and shipping. To be fully transparent: sometimes TeePublic runs its own sales, so these same designs might show up elsewhere at a different price. I can’t control that unfortunately, it’s just internet life. I price my shop to keep things simple and sustainable, not to trick anyone.
