1. Overview
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Little Nose Studio website and your purchase of products and services from Annelie McKenzie, doing business as Little Nose Studio (“Little Nose Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, as well as our Refund / Return Policy, Shipping Policy, and any other policies posted on our website.
2. Who We Are
Little Nose Studio is a California sole proprietorship operated by Annelie McKenzie in Culver City, California.
3. Product Categories
Little Nose Studio may offer products in the following categories:
A. Custom Digital Pet Portraits
Custom commissioned digital pet portraits delivered as JPG files.
B. Portrait-Based Physical Products
Made-to-order physical products created using an already approved custom portrait and linked to the customer’s portrait ID number. These may include, for example:

poster prints
-
t-shirts
-
hoodies
-
sweatshirts
-
tank tops
-
totes
-
mugs
-
drinkware
-
phone cases
-
stickers
-
notebooks
-
pillow covers
-
pillows
-
other portrait-based apparel or gift items
These products are only available after a customer has purchased and approved a custom portrait, unless otherwise stated.
C. Standalone Non-Custom Products
Little Nose Studio may also offer non-custom products that can be purchased on their own, including:

original paintings
-
original art
-
one-of-a-kind wearable art originals
-
certain non-custom wall art
-
certain non-custom mugs, totes, apparel, and gift items
D. Add-Ons / Upgrades
We may offer optional upgrades or add-ons, including:

extra pets
-
one round of edits
-
rush orders
-
gift cards
-
other add-ons listed on the product page
4. Eligibility and Customer Information
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate information when placing an order, including:
-
contact information
-
billing information
-
shipping information
-
pet names, wording, and customization details
-
reference photos
You are responsible for reviewing your order carefully before submitting it.
5. Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices may change at any time without notice. Taxes, shipping fees, customs duties, import fees, and similar charges may apply depending on your order and destination.
Payment is due at checkout unless otherwise stated on the product page.
6. Site Use Rules
You may not use this website or our content for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose. You agree not to:

copy, reproduce, or use our website text, artwork, product photos, or branding without permission

interfere with or disrupt the website

submit abusive, fraudulent, or misleading orders

upload harmful, infringing, or unauthorized content

misuse the website or our services in any way
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or limit access where necessary to protect our business, website, customers, or creative work.
7. User-Submitted Content
If you submit pet photos, names, text, or other materials to us, you confirm that:

you have the right to submit them
-
the materials do not infringe another person’s rights
-
the materials are not unlawful, abusive, or harmful
You grant us permission to use submitted materials as needed to complete your order.
Little Nose Studio will not post your submitted pet reference photos publicly unless we ask and you give permission.
8. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All artwork, designs, graphics, product images, website content, and related materials created by Little Nose Studio remain the intellectual property of Little Nose Studio unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
Purchase of a custom portrait or other product does not transfer copyright to the customer. Customers receive only the limited usage rights described below.
Customer Personal-Use License
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers may use their delivered portrait for personal, non-commercial purposes only, including:

printing it for personal use
-
posting it on social media
-
sharing it with family and friends
-
using it as a phone wallpaper
-
making personal gifts
Credit is appreciated but not required.
Prohibited Uses
Without our prior written permission, customers may not:
-
resell the artwork
-
use it commercially
-
alter, edit, or modify the artwork
-
trace the artwork
-
use it for logos, branding, or business purposes
-
reproduce it on merchandise for sale
-
license it to third parties
-
mint it as an NFT
-
upload it for AI training, AI generation, or similar machine-learning uses
Our Portfolio and Marketing Rights
Little Nose Studio may display finished artwork on our website, social media, portfolio, marketing materials, and print samples.
If a client requests limited privacy treatment, we will not post or display their finished pet portrait. However, Little Nose Studio may still display an edited, modified, or de-identified version of the artwork, including versions with changed colors or removed pet names, for portfolio or marketing purposes.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Nose Studio provides the website, products, and services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted website access, exact screen-to-print color matching, or that third-party carriers and production partners will meet all estimated timelines.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Nose Studio shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your order, use of the website, or use of our products or services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to an order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.
11. Informal Dispute Resolution; Governing Law
If you have a problem with an order, you agree to contact us first at hello@LittleNoseStudio.com and make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue informally before filing a chargeback or legal claim.
The parties will attempt informal resolution for 30 days after written notice of the dispute.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal court located in California, except where small claims court is permitted and appropriate.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version on the website. The version in effect at the time of your purchase will generally apply to that purchase unless otherwise required by law.

PRODUCT-SPECIFIC TERMS
A. CUSTOM DIGITAL PET PORTRAITS / COMMISSIONED ARTWORK
1. Nature of the Service
Custom pet portraits are commissioned digital artworks created in Little Nose Studio’s established artistic style. By placing an order, you understand that you are purchasing an original artistic interpretation of your pet, not an exact photorealistic replica unless expressly stated otherwise on the product page.
2. Reference Photo Submission
Customers may submit pet photos:

through the upload button on the product page before purchase, or
-
by email, text, or Dropbox link in certain situations such as in-person fair bookings or other approved arrangements
If photos are not submitted at checkout, customers must submit usable photos within 48 hours of purchase.
If no usable photos are received within 48 hours, the order may be treated as abandoned/closed with no refund.
3. Photo Requirements
Customers are responsible for providing clear, usable reference photos. Recommended photos are:

well-lit
-
in focus
-
in color
-
close enough to clearly see the pet’s face
-
taken head-on where possible
-
showing the pet clearly
-
not heavily filtered
-
helpful if they include multiple angles
-
helpful if one image clearly shows the neck fur
We may work from one or more reference photos and may combine elements from multiple photos to create the final portrait.
4. Turnaround Time
Typical turnaround for a custom digital pet portrait is approximately 7–14 business days (about 1–2 weeks) after purchase and receipt of usable reference photos.
Turnaround times are estimates only, not guarantees, and may vary due to workload, revision requests, holidays, complexity, response time, illness, emergencies, or other business demands.
5. Revisions and Preview Policy
Some Little Nose Studio products include a preview and revision round, and some do not. The preview and revision terms for each product will be listed on the product page at the time of purchase.
The Signature Pet Portrait includes one preview JPG and one round of small edits before the final file is delivered.
The Jiffy Pet Portrait does not include a preview or revision round. Jiffy Pet Portraits are completed as artist’s choice and delivered as final artwork.
For products that include a preview, Little Nose Studio will send a near-complete JPG preview before final delivery. The customer may request one round of small edits at that stage.
Small edits may include reasonable adjustments such as minor color changes, small marking corrections, lettering tweaks, or other limited refinements.
A revision round does not include a new pose, new pet, new reference photo, new composition, major style change, full redraw, or a substantially different direction from the original order.
If a product does not include a preview or revision round, the customer will receive the completed final JPG file only, with no preview and no included edit requests.
6. One Round of Edits
One round of edits means that after the portrait preview is sent, the customer may request one round of consolidated minor changes before final delivery.
Minor revisions may include things such as:

more fur
-
eye size adjustments
-
background color changes
-
lettering size changes
-
small color adjustments
-
fur placement
-
fur color
-
flower placement
-
flower size
-
halftone or no halftone
This option is for small refinements only.
7. What Is Not Included in a Minor Revision
A minor revision does not include:
-
changing the pose
-
changing the reference photo entirely
-
changing the composition
-
changing which pet is shown
-
adding a pet not included in the order
-
changing the art style
-
starting over from scratch
-
drawing new elements such as a tail, paw, or background objects
-
adding more words or different words beyond the name/wording given at the time of purchase
These kinds of requests may be refused or may require a new order, an added fee, or both.
8. Revision Response Structure
After receiving your consolidated revision request, Little Nose Studio may respond in either of the following ways, depending on the nature of the edit:

one updated preview, or
-
a small choice sheet of options for you to choose from
The customer then receives one final approval / selection step. After the customer makes that final selection or approval, the artwork is considered approved and final.
9. No Response / Abandonment / Auto-Approval
Time-sensitive custom orders depend on customer response.

If the customer fails to submit photos within 48 hours where required, the order may be treated as abandoned/closed with no refund.

If the customer does not respond to a preview, updated preview, or choice sheet within 48 hours, the portrait may be treated as approved as-is and completed/delivered.
10. Excessive or Improper Revision Conduct
Little Nose Studio reserves the right to refuse revision requests that are excessive, repetitive, contradictory, abusive, outside the scope of the purchased revision round, or inconsistent with these Terms.
11. Delivery Format
Final custom portraits are delivered as JPG files only via download link.
12. File Storage
Little Nose Studio may retain backup copies of portrait files for internal business purposes, including future portrait-object orders, but does not guarantee permanent storage. Customers are responsible for downloading and saving their delivered files.
13. Cancellations and Refunds for Custom Portraits

Before work has started: customer may cancel for a refund minus a $25 administrative fee
-
After work has started: no refund
-
After a preview has been sent: no refund
-
After final delivery: no refund, return, or exchange
Rush fees, revision fees, and similar add-ons are non-refundable once scheduled/purchased.
B. PHYSICAL PRODUCTS / PORTRAIT OBJECTS / PRINT-ON-DEMAND GOODS
1. Nature of the Products
Physical products may be made from an approved custom portrait or may be sold as standalone non-custom items, depending on the listing.
Portrait-based physical products require an approved portrait and may require the customer’s portrait ID number.
2. Made-to-Order and Third-Party Fulfillment
Physical products are made to order and fulfilled by third-party fulfillment partners.
Little Nose Studio is not a shipping carrier and does not control carrier transit times, customs processing, or third-party production schedules.
3. Production Begins After Approval
For portrait-based physical products, production begins only after the customer’s portrait has been approved/finalized.
4. Production and Shipping Estimates
Typical production time is approximately 1–2 weeks.
Typical shipping time is approximately 1–2 weeks, including for U.S. and international orders, although actual timing may vary.
Production and shipping times are estimates only, not guarantees. Delays may occur due to:

carrier delays
-
customs processing
-
weather
-
holidays
-
order volume
-
product availability
-
third-party production or fulfillment issues
5. International Orders
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, import taxes, brokerage fees, or similar charges imposed by their country.
6. Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping address at checkout.
7. Delivered but Not Received
If a package is marked delivered by the carrier but the customer says it was not received, the customer must contact the carrier and/or file any available claim. Little Nose Studio may assist by providing shipment information, but does not automatically issue a replacement or refund in these circumstances.
8. Damaged, Defective, or Misprinted Items
If a physical product arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted, the customer must contact hello@LittleNoseStudio.com within 5 days of delivery and provide:

photos of the item, and
-
photos of the packaging
Depending on the circumstances, Little Nose Studio may offer:
-
replacement
-
refund
-
store credit
-
another case-by-case resolution
9. Returned to Sender / Refused / Unclaimed Packages
If an order is returned to sender because the customer entered an incorrect address, failed to claim the package, or refused delivery, Little Nose Studio is not required to issue a refund, replacement, or reshipment. The customer would need to place a new order at their own expense.
10. Cancellations, Returns, and Exchanges
Because physical products are made to order, no refunds, returns, cancellations, or exchanges are offered, including before production starts, except where required by law or where Little Nose Studio chooses to resolve a damage/defect issue under these Terms.
Change-of-mind returns and exchanges are not accepted.
